Larry was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago and developed a passion for skiing, which brought him to the Wood River Valley in 1972. Soon after, Larry purchased his property and began raising Arabian horses. Larry started DryNest Animal Bedding, which operates across the United States and continues to grow each year. Although "retired", Larry is an active part of the market garden team.
An avid home gardener and backyard chicken enthusiast, Sherry brought her passion for growing her own food to the south Bellevue property. Soon enough, Sherry was growing more than enough for herself and Larry, so they started to share it with friends and neighbors. Sherry continues to enjoy gardening, cooking and preserving the harvest, but has found a new love for marketing and customer service. She is the voice of Kraay's Market & Garden and we appreciate all she does, day in and day out!
